A motley coat
As You Like It, Act II Sc. 7
JAQUES
O worthy fool!
...in his brain,
Which is as dry as the remainder biscuit
After a voyage, he hath strange places cramm'd
With observation, the which he vents
In mangled forms. O that I were a fool!
I am ambitious for a motley coat.

Well, good on ya! But that seems a heck of a way to spend your summer. Or do they do the workshops out on the beach down there?
Alas, I'll be, as Houston says, "in writers' prison" for pretty much the whole six weeks. Although I'm told there are some breaks and downtime, the object of the game is to (self-referentially enough) land on and explore Planet Writer....
Hi, as a fellow writer, I just want to say congratulations, and well done.
Thanks!
How did you happen to find my blog?
You turned up on a google search of course. I'm launching my own blog/livejournal, so am looking around to see how its done. What sort of writing do you do?
The second (or maybe third) post (WAAAAAAAY on the bottom of the blog) talks about my current projects. That's a pretty good sampling of what I do!
Hi,
Sounds like some big projects there. Perhaps you are like me: I've got two or three murder mysteries stashed away, plus several set in imaginary world but not actually fantasy because they don't fit the conventions at all. And short stories. And then out of the blue a poem turns up and demands to be written.
I've just started a blog at http://scavengersrights.blogspot.com/
and a website at http://jessicavivien.com
What do you write in the (very broad) spec fic area?
I had a look at your blog -- your writing environment sounds wonderful.
I confess I haven't fully defined what I do in specfic. I suppose I'll find out by the end of Clarion!
Hmm it might go the other way: once you have spent 6 weeks tightening up your writing with that brilliant set of tutors you'll be excellent at writing publishable work in any genre you like. BTW Tor is advertising for paranormal romance novels. Take a look on their webpage.

It's fun hunting down Clarion South on google and finding your fellow classmates' acceptance announcements. Mine is Here.
