Thank you! I can't vouch for the quality of the output, but it certainly isn't as bad as some people think it automatically has to be, just because it's NaNo. Doggedness doesn't always produce dogged writing, and I'm actually rather pleased with this piece -- I think I can probably take it somewhere really fun.
Well done! I wish I had joined in now. There's this idea...
Well, I suppose in theory there's no reason you couldn't write 50,000 words in whatever month you liked. On the other hand, the buzz of being a part of NaNo is very motivating and very fun.

ACK-shully, my NaNo opus (a) isn't anywhere near finished yet and (b) isn't anywhere near readable yet. Oddly, it's also both very different from and somewhat similar to the novel I sent you for your perusal. I guess I've got some issues I'm working through, courtesy of my characters!
