Vigil
Anything I might try
(out of panic or leaden, longtime horror)
would be worse than disastrous.
So I wait,
wanting something gloriously absurd to happen.
Now that would be a sign.
And you,
what do you wait for?
Have a seat, take a candle, warm up.
We have a long night ahead of us.

Thank you. The Vigil was more than usually meaningful for me this Easter.
