I am ambitious for a motley coat.
The whole family has pretty much instantly become rabid fans of Hobart. Is there a better town for the geek-inclined? So far I haven't seen one.

Hobart is extremely gorgeous. Like a civilised slice of older Sydney, but with mountains and a view.
D'you know Tansy Rayner-Roberts? She's down in that neck of the woods, and is always welcoming to folks from the SF scene. And if you make it up this way, please do let me know: we'll kill the fatted...err... wallaby, and raise a glass to good times.
Meanwhile: the Lark distillery in Hobart is very much a must for anyone who drinks either whiskey (they do a first-rate single malt) or gin.
Yup, Tansy and I are in touch. My husband is a whiskey fan, and I don't mind the occasional gin myself, so I guess we'll be seeking out the Lark distillery!
